Jennifer Lopez was this year’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award recipient at the MTV VMAs.
Not only did she perform an INCREDIBLE medley of her hits — Ja Rule even showed up for a bit!! — the superstar gave a rousing, emotional speech when accepting the award, specifically calling out her children Max and Emme as changing her life and the arc of her career.
The whole thing was SERIOUSLY powerful and inspiring!!
