Smart… or tacky??
On Saturday, Brody Jenner and fiancée Kaitlynn Carter will get married at Nihi Sumba, a luxury island resort around 250 miles east of Bali.
According to a DailyMail.com source, the two are asking their 70 guests to give cash for their honeymoon in lieu of presents!
The insider says the couple made the request on their online registry, and are using Honeyfund, a popular crowd-funding site.
Although Jenner and Carter "appreciate" that their guests are "coming from far and wide," they "are asking for money, not gifts." The insider quipped:
"They have set up a donation link. It struck me as odd for people so well to do to be asking for that."
Not surprisingly, the trip to the resort is anything but cheap. In addition to the international airfare, nightly rates start at $795 for a one-bedroom, and go up to $16,595 for a five-bedroom estate. The lovebirds' honeymoon suite reportedly costs at least $6,000 a night.
Caitlyn Jenner will not attend the nuptials — despite receiving an invite — because of previously scheduled work commitments. Brody said little sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner "never even RSVP'd."
We have to ask…
Would you ask your guest for cash or just receive whatever is given?
