KIM KARDASHIAN OPENS UP ABOUT HER MEETING WITH PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP

Kim Kardashian is on a mission.

As we reported, on Wednesday, the KUWTK star met with Jared Kushner and Donald Trump to discuss prison reform and the possible pardoning of first time drug offender, Alice Marie Johnson.

In an interview with Mic posted on Wednesday, Kanye West's wife opened up about her big White House meeting. The 37-year-old remarked:

"I think that he really spent the time to listen to our case that we were making for Alice… He really understood, and I am very hopeful that this will turn out really positively."

Furthermore, the reality TV personality is "happy" that Alice's case appears to be "moving forward."

"I went in, me and [attorney] Shawn [Chapman Holley], to really talk to the president about Alice Johnson and really explain to him why she would be such a good person to grant clemency to… The president seems to have a passion for what everything that Jared has been trying to do, and that just makes me happy that that conversation is just moving forward."

If granted clemency, Kardashian believes Johnson will successfully re-enter society.

"She has a job waiting for her… She has a home to go to, and she has such a great supportive family."

Although Kim doesn't have "a personal experience with [the prison system]," she is sympathetic towards Johnson's situation.

"It was just that simple connection… I don't have a personal experience with prison myself, but I believe in family, and her family was torn apart by choices that she made 21 and a half years ago."
