Kylie Jenner's Snapchat Shade Potentially Caused $1.3 BILLION Loss!
The social media queen has spoken… and things aren't looking good for Snapchat!
As we reported earlier this month, after the mobile app underwent a jarring transformation, Kylie Jenner told her millions of Twitter followers she was iffy about the new changes!
Fast forward to Wednesday, the Life of Kylie star says she has totally given up on the image messaging service! She wrote:
According to TMZ, less than 24 hours after her shade went viral, the company's shares took a 7.2% dive, equalling a $1.3 BILLION loss!
Coincidence?? We think NOT!
Kylie Jenner has been a longtime Snapchat user and contributed to the rise of the once beloved app. She has not only heavily used Snapchat, but worked closely with the company, helping to create a special series for it. To ease the pain, Kylie later tweeted support for Snapchat, calling the app her "first love."
Sadly, the damage has already been done!
Kylie's post is just the latest criticism levelled at the app, which has also included a petition signed by more than a million people. The strength of feeling is such that a tweet falsely claiming the update would be reversed if it was shared enough is now one of the most popular Twitter posts ever.
