SAME LOVE.......LGBT

David Knox growing up in a family of 3, he felt different like he was missing something. Always had the feeling that things weren't right and couldn't figure out why. Being born a Jew didn't help him either when he found out he preferred the same sex to the opposite sex. Not only was it frowned upon by his religion but it was also not legalised in the states.

Peter White a quarterback for the school football team and also a close friend of David kissed him during an episode of 50 shades they were watching one night and that was when everything changed and things came crashing down.

He would do the math in his head like he was good in football, he loved interior decoration and also enjoys fashion which was different from the preconceived ideas he had. His parents always had an opinion for everything, they felt people of same sex could be cured with a little therapy, treatment and religion so imagine the horror when he found out. He was willing to kill himself than coming out, unless there was a law that allowed him to be who he wanted to be with no stigmatisation.

"When the fear of accepting change is stripped away, we learn to love people as they are not as we want them to be"

One evening, David was with his family having dinner, he had a gloomy look on his face which his parents noticed since he had been mopping around the house and seemed utterly miserable all week. His parent kept probing him about his sad state of being, after several minutes he blotted out "I am gay", on seeing his parents stunned looks he picked up his phone and left the house.

David went to Peter's house, explained what happened at home and asked to spend the night. They played video games and made out till the early hours of the morning before they both slept off cuddled together. At noon, David got home to find his parents in the sitting room, they called him over and apologised for not been accepting of his sexuality, they said he was their son and would always love him no matter who he decides to love.

Life was looking good for David, he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders after the conversation with his parents. Even though David and Peter started dating * still in the closet* he had hope for a brighter tomorrow.....

"Only by speaking out can we create lasting change. And that change begins with coming out"

"If you posses enough courage to speak out what you are, you will find out you are not alone"
