KANYE WEST TALKS ABOUT DONALD TRUMP BACKLASH & FEARING KIM WOULD LEAVE HIM IN NEW INTERVIEW

Kanye West faced the court of opinion following that controversial TMZ interview, where he stated that he thought 400 years of slavery sounded like a choice, among other things to say the least.

Not to mention his public support of Donald Trump.

He got such negative press from the whole ordeal that he was admittedly nervous Kim Kardashian West would leave his ass after the public turned their backs to him!
In an extended interview for the New York Times, the father of three opened up about his love of Trump and how he felt about the backlash he received for expressing it.

After clarifying that he said slavery *"sounds"* like a choice (as opposed to objectively being a choice, we guess?), the 41-year-old artist revealed he had moments of insecurity:

"There was a moment where I felt like after TMZ, maybe a week after that, I felt like the energy levels were low. And I called different family members and was asking, you know, ‘Was Kim thinking about leaving me after TMZ?' So that was a real conversation."

As for his support of Trump, Kanye said he's not the only celebrity who supports the nutcase, he's just the only one brave enough to say so:

"There were people who said Trump would never win. I'm talking about the it-will-never-happens of the world, people in high school told you things would never happen. I felt that I knew people who voted for Trump that were celebrities that were scared to say that they liked him. But they told me, and I liked him, and I'm not scared to say what I like."

He went on to say he likes Trump, but not all of his policies:

"I hear Trump talk and I'm like, I like the way it sounds, knowing that there's people who like me that don't like the way it sounds … [But] No, I don't agree with all of his policies."

When it's the president we're talking about, picking one is picking all of them.
