Teenage love affairs!
In Carrie Fisher's new biography penned by film historians Darwin Porter and Danforth Prince, we learn that it's believed the late actress had affairs with David Bowie and Freddie Mercury in 1973 when she was just 17 — and while they were each married!
At that time, the Star Wars alum was enrolled at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. As the story goes, Carrie was introduced to the musicians while attending one of Mick Jagger's glamorous parties with her mother Debbie Reynolds.
It's said Fisher had been attracted to Bowie because he "had made the world a better place for rebels, oddballs, and misfits like me."
This information supposedly came to light during Porter's interview with actress Joan Hackett in 1983 — and have never been written about until now. She recalled Fisher telling her about Bowie "surviving for days on brain-sizzling cocaine, drinking only milk for nourishment."
As for their relationship, Hackett disclosed:
"Some nights were torture for him as he sank into a cocaine pit of hell… He could be ruthless, mean, jealous. At other times, he conquered his demons and could be sweet and tender, wanting and needing love."
As for Fisher's romp with Mercury, the book describes:
"In addition to an endless parade of boys and young men on the side, Mercury occasionally seduced a young woman and had a long-time relationship with Mary Austin… Carrie said she didn't want to interfere with his ongoing love affair, but he dismissed her concerns."
The '70s, man.
