Serena shared the news on her Twitter page, writing that it’s been something she’d wanted to do for so long.
She’d attended fashion school at 18, she shared, but since then has continued to receive nos from people she pitched the idea of a fashion line to.
Finally, she continued, she realized she just had to make a go at it, and now, here she is.

They say life is about timing. I learned this lesson at age 18, when I chose to play a light tennis schedule because I wanted to go to fashion school. Some criticized my decision, but I knew I had two loves--tennis and fashion--and had to find a way to make them coexist.
