THE PERILS OF BAD PARENTING

"Don't condescend me boy, what you see standing. I see it clearer while seated."

It is even written in the Bible: 

Children obey your parents and father's don't provoke your Kids.

Not trying to get all spiritual but just trying to make a Valid Point!

Most kids change or act the way they do for various reasons and it all starts at the root....THE HOME.

1. They had really strict parents who didn't believe that one should waste his or her time going out with friends to parties or just having a friend. They believe your life should revolve around a book.

2. We also have parents who belive that 

"Time is Money is Knowledge is Power" so as long as you are doing something productive with your self and always trying to improve your self they are fine but as long as an external factor comes in to distort that order, it is frown upon.

The Uptight Teens

3. The parents that try to force their dreams on you. Your mum wanted to be a model then she signs you up for every Pergent in your County and Most Beautiful Girl.

The Drama Queens

4. We have the really strict parent- Military officers who drill it into their sons from birth till when they are grown,that they enter the Army,Navy or Air Force to serve their country. Most of them don't believe women should be involved so the chances that the daughters are never good enough no matter how hard they try.

The Army Brats

5. The parents who want their kids to carry on the family business be it a million dollar company or the drug trade business. It doesn't matter as long as you follow their every command,all is well. They never ask what you want to do and the children end up frustrated.

The Addicts & Depressed Kids

6. The parents who care less about what goes on in their kids lives. As long as they get the necessary amenities and are breathing. That's fine with them. These kids end up seeking for attention in all the wrong ways. 

The Troubled Teens

7. Parents who belive that their kids need to work for their daily bread even if they can afford to set them up for life. Instead they want them to go out and think up new ways of making money and possibly creating something not yet created or better still restructure something already out there. 

The Call Girls & Yahoo Boys

8. Those parents who do not believe their kids should be themselves. They want them to act a certain way that the society dictates. A girl must be with a boy and not with her own sex. The kids feel if they can't be who they are around their parents then there is no point in being alive. 

The Suicidal Kids

9.  Why can't you pass a simple test?

Jason scored 9/10 and you couldn't even get 4 marks. Am soo disappointed in you. When you have parent's that talk this way, kids feel nothing they do is ever right and always want to do things to please others even if they are not happy about it.

The Peer Pressured


When your own child is scared of telling you things that happen to him or her, it is cos you blow things out of proportion.

We all have been there at one point in our lives. We've all done that, so we should try not to be these parents. Instead we should strive in correcting those errors.

Love your kids as they are.

Never compare them to Child A or B.

Let them live their lives. They can't live yours. 

Ask them what their passion is and help them grow it.

No one wants their KIDS to fall into any of these categories so ACT now.
